Student projects
Most of my students have caught on to the importance of using social media in the media industry. They are blogging, tweeting and wiki-ing (not a word) on a regular bases. At first, many complained about having to post to each of these, but they have come to realize that all three are very important. Furthermore, if they work in the PR industry, they will report to many more social networking outlets.

Academic Integrity
Just left a faculty meeting on academic integrity and honor code. I'm amazed by the different methods students have for cheating. They range from buying term papers, to taping answers to water bottles, to using ipods, calculators, etc. to access notes. Students are also taping notes to baseball caps and wearing headphones under hoodies to listen to recorded notes. Teachers, make sure your students don't have anything on their desks or on their heads during an exam. Cheating has gone high-tech. This is a different generation. Today's students are used to getting the answers via answers.com, wiki, etc. The sad truth is -- if they put as much energy into studying -- they would make good grades!!!
